: "Mon Oncle" Minimal

In this typical Parisian apartment, the renovation’s budget was mainly allocated to a new bathroom and kitchen. The biggest challenge was to build these two programmes within five sqm. The proposal consisted of two main gestures:

The first was to create a wooden internal façade with the entrance to the bathroom and the kitchen facing the entrance hall, thereby materialising the concept of the Parisian urbanity within the apartment by recreating the idea of streets and facades. The second was to create a diagonal wall between the kitchen and the bathroom, creating two punctual intensely narrow moments of 50cm (to enter the kitchen and the shower) allowing the rest of the program to have more space.
